About Columbia Code Camp

Carolina Code Camp logo The Columbia Enterprise Developers Guild held its first meeting in May 2007. Since that time, we have worked on providing quality educational opportunities to the development community. Holding an annual Code Camp is the next step in that process, and Columbia Code Camp 2010 is the culmination of our efforts to get the first one started.

In the autumn of 2009, CEDG took part in the Carolina Code Camp along with user groups from across the Carolinas. Mark Wilson developed the software used for the Carolina Code Camp, and he allowed us to use it for ours as well.

About MSDN Code Camps

MSDN Code Camp logo MSDN Code Camps are community events where developers and enthusiasts come to learn from and network with their peers. The original Code Camp was a conglomeration of ideas by many different people across the development community. The idea was simple, provide an off-hour forum for the development community to speak and share ideas for them to come and enjoy. Expect lots of education, networking, and food.

An original MSDN Code Camp organizer, Thom Robbins, wrote a six-point manifesto:

About Columbia Enterprise Developers Guild

Enterprise Developers Guild logo The Columbia Enterprise Developers Guild is an independently run, volunteer user group that meets on a regular basis to discuss and share information on a variety of developer-centered technology topics. We provide an excellent, inexpensive way to receive technical education and meet with peers to get more out of the latest Microsoft platforms, products, technologies, and resources.

We organized early in 2007 with the help of the Enterprise Developers Guild, INETA, Microsoft, and the former Columbia .NET user group. Our first meeting was held on May 8th, 2007

The Columbia Enterprise Developers Guild meets the second Wednesday of every month, at the Midlands Tech NE Campus Auditorium. Meetings are from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Dinner is usually pizza and soft drinks, courtesy of our meeting host.
